Chinese Annual conference of Methodist Church in Malaysia have commenced a ministry to care for the disabled since year 1993. The first Beautiful Gate centre was established in Petaling Jaya in year 1995 to provide accommodation, training & various services to the disabled in need, regardless of religion, race & status.

Mission: Enhance quality of life of people with disabilities, & assist in their total integration into mainstream Malaysian society. Objectives: – To share the love of Christ to disabled community – To help disabled people develop a healthy self-image – To train disabled people become self-sufficent & to integrate into society – To provide opportunities for disabled people to actively participate in social activities – To instill greater public awareness towards the plight of the disabled
