The Communications Department encompasses a wide range of responsibilities to guide internal and external communications efforts of Malaysian CARE. Essentially, the Department works to promote CARE in the eyes of the public and its stakeholders. To this end, the Communications Department supports, develops and implements materials, projects and events that effectively communicates the mission and objectives of Malaysian CARE.

The Church Relations Leader will become an active team member with a primary role of communicating Malaysian CARE’s vision with clarity and purpose to churches towards establishing long-term partnerships. He or she should not only be good at the job but finds it enjoyable to interact with pastors, church leaders and members.

The Policy, Advocacy and Research Department (PAR) focuses on the causes of poverty and injustice, and formulates strategies towards biblical justice. The main strategies include empowering the people who are affected by injustice, empowering churches and the general public to partner and advocate alongside, and strategizing towards affecting change at the national and regional levels through addressing long-standing systemic and structural causes and issues relating to poverty and injustice. PAR works together with the Community Development, Service Development and Communications departments through its relevant research and joint advocacy initiatives.

The candidate should be passionate and committed towards policy development and research analysis, together with advocacy strategies and initiatives, in the overall effort to bring about positive change and biblical justice for the underprivileged.

The Finance and Administration Department encompasses a wide range of responsibilities according to its stringent standard operating procedure and control. Essentially, the Department functions as a promoter of CARE to uphold integrity and accountability with regard to its financial operations, toward its stakeholders. To realise CARE’s congruence vision and mission, the Finance Department plays a vital accountability to God and its donors in managing financial related matters prudently and transparently.
The candidate should be able to process payments and issuance of tax deductible receipts via the SQL or related accounting software. Other primary task includes the preparation of final and management accounts for review by the Management.

The Community Development (CD) Department initiates and implements community-based projects with identified poor communities in partnership with local churches to address the wholistic needs in the four key areas, namely: 1) economic empowerment, 2) social empowerment, 3) child empowerment, and 4) spiritual empowerment. The Community Department also works closely with the Service Department to develop resource materials in one or more of these four key areas. Imperatively, The Community Development Department provides technical and/or managerial training for project beneficiaries to ensure viability and sustainability of projects, and, sources for material and human resources necessary for the successful implementation of projects.
Leader for CD-PC acts as a representative of Malaysian CARE with churches partnership via creating awareness or training programmes on development issues. The candidate is also required to liaise and network with grassroots level field workers, external resource persons, community & religious leaders, Government Organization and NGOs for successful implementation of service activities.
