The Human Resource Department (HR) is the backbone to all other departments in Malaysian CARE (CARE) particularly in providing indispensable support and encouragement to the staff in the form of counselling and pastoral care. This department is crucial in inculcating biblical values and systems in nurturing the staff to be the visible expression of the wholistic mission of Christ to the marginalised, poor and needy. In realising CARE’s mission via partnership with its internal stakeholders, HR is committed in building both Christ-like and professionally equipped team through the pastoral support, and, spiritual formation and mentoring programs.

This position requires primarily organising, sourcing, developing and evaluating training programs for new and existing employees, establishing and maintaining relationships with external training suppliers; and, secondary, recruiting and staffing logistics, assisting with employee relations and day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office. Other duties include assigned by the Management.

Finance and Admin

The Finance and Administration Department encompasses a wide range of responsibilities according to its stringent standard operating procedure and control. Essentially, the Department functions as a promoter of CARE to uphold integrity and accountability with regard to its financial operations, toward its stakeholders. To realise CARE’s congruence vision and mission, the Finance Department plays a vital accountability to God and its donors in managing financial related matters prudently and transparently.
The candidate should be able to process payments and issuance of tax deductible receipts via the SQL or related accounting software. Other primary task includes the preparation of final and management accounts for review by the Management.

Community Development

PC KL RK – Staff .

  • Possesses driving licence (preferably, licence for manual transmission cars).
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin or Tamil is a plus.
  • Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with patience and cultural sensitive.
  • Ability to write reports.
  • Ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams within a matrix management environment.
  • To be able to work in shifts, as per the staff schedule.

The Community Development (CD) Department initiates and implements community-based projects with identified poor communities in partnership with local churches to address the wholistic needs in the four key areas, namely: 1) economic empowerment, 2) social empowerment, 3) child empowerment, and 4) spiritual empowerment. The Community Department also works closely with the Service Department to develop resource materials in one or more of these four key areas. Imperatively, The Community Development Department provides technical and/or managerial training for project beneficiaries to ensure viability and sustainability of projects, and, sources for material and human resources necessary for the successful implementation of projects.
Leader for CD-PC acts as a representative of Malaysian CARE with churches partnership via creating awareness or training programmes on development issues. The candidate is also required to liaise and network with grassroots level field workers, external resource persons, community & religious leaders, Government Organization and NGOs for successful implementation of service activities.
