    About the Position

    • The candidate will be responsible for developing, improving and equipping the staff and external stakeholders in the area of agriculture for rural community development.

    • Sustainable and organic agricultural production (crops and livestock farming), promotion of projects, collaboration with potential stakeholders.

    • Work closely with our demo center of Ladang CARE at Chenderiang, Perak and other regional offices of CARE.

    • Accommodation (shared) at Ladang CARE is available.



    Required Skills and Experience

    • Technical leadership to serve as the resident specialist on agriculture for rural community development.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with staff and local communities (including government agencies, NGOs and private sectors).

    • Readiness for long-term journeying with communities in addressing their plight and assist them towards achieving sustainable livelihoods.

    • Possess organizational skills including documentation, project management, analysis and time management (eg. multitasking, deadlines, monitoring).

    • Well versed with MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

    • Possess driving license. Experience in driving 4-wheel pickup truck is an added advantage.

    Educational Requirements

    [Preferred but not limited to] Bachelor’s degree related to Agriculture, Rural Community Development, Social Work. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

    The Service Development team are the Designers in the organization with the primary role in building, refining and improving CARE services for the communities. This team also carries with it the pivotal role of ensuring what we do in CARE remain aligned to God’s calling, the people equipped to serve better, and the community discover hope.
